Building my first competitive team.

I'm only in the building stages. I haven't even gotten some of the Pokemon quite yet. I might be new to competitive battling but I am good at battling. I just need to spend the time EV training WHICH I DREAD SO MUCH!!

Those are 3 pokemon I want for sure in my team. I'm flipping around with Heatran, Tyranitar, and Scizor on Shoddy Battle. (I have the same name if you see me ). I'm concerned about the Overwhelming weakness to fighting types, like Infernape and Lucario. I have water types under control with Cacturne, but what should I do for Grass types?

with toxic, rest, power trick, gyro ball its an awesome set I come up with.

I also recomend Torterra, aradactle, and rhyperior

Unles you have Trick rooom to support it. SHUCKLE W/T POWER TRICK WILL NOT WORK

Bright power is considered a hax item. Peeps will think your a hacker when there 100% moves miss.

Hippowdon - Just my favorite fatty lol

Impish - Sandstream - Leftovers
Earthquake - Roar - Slack Off - Stealth Rock

Cradily - I've heard it was good...
112Hp/252Atk/146Speed
Adamant - Suction Cups - Chesto Berry
Earthquake - Rest - Rock Slide - Swords Dance

Cacturne - Sand Veil, and it's not rock/ground like the others so far.. lol
252Atk/6Def/252Speed
Adamant - Sand Veil - Brightpowder
Seed Bomb - Substitute - Sucker Punch - Swords Dance

If you're in OU, you need Ice Beam - no ifs, ands, or buts. Salamence, Garchomp etc. will completely flatten your team without it. Cradily is good because it's apparently a good staller. Try this:

Barrier
Amnesia
Toxic
Recover

Use Barrier and Amnesia so they can barely get a hit on you, then use Toxic and waste your time until they die. Recover when necessary.

If you're scared of Fighting-types, get Lugia if you can. Lucario should be no problem. Hippowdon uses Earthquake, and being part Steel-type, Lucario dies.

your cradily strategy won't work since you get one chance to setup before a counter. i recommend

recover/rest
energy ball just incase you are taunted
